Show Class - Fridays in St Kilda
We would love you to join this class which will be performing its end of year routine to “Ain’t She Sweet” at the National Theatre in St Kilda.
The performance will be part of the Glamour Puss Studio’s November stage show, which takes place three times in front of an audience (a matinee and two evenings).
To take part, come to the studio at 8 Martin Street, St Kilda any time after 7:00 pm on Fridays (Show class starts at 8:00 pm)
(If you would like to learn the routine but don’t wish to perform that’s fine too).

Saturday 25 May - Shiny Stockings Ball
Swing the night away in style at the beautiful 1927 built The Thornbury Theatre!
This grand occasion is hosted in remembrance of the Ambassador to Lindy Hop, the late, great Frankie Manning. The world’s obsession with swing wouldn’t exist with out this man’s passionate contribution to spreading the dance.
Lennart Westerlund, special weekend guest all the way from Sweden will entertain and educate with a special forward about Frankie Manning before a short doco screening of Frankie Manning: Never Stop Swinging.
Andy Swann and his Savoy Stompers will be playing Frankie’s favourite swing songs all night long to dance dance dance. Visit the bar, socialize and have a slice of sweet potato pie to say happy birthday to Frankie Manning.

NEW VENUE FOR THURSDAY NIGHT CLASSES
Great news – we’re moving our Pascoe Vale Class from this week!
We are going to the Pascoe Vale Senior Citizens Centre which is not far from the swimming pool. It has air-conditioning and we have booked it every Thursday until the end of the year! (no need to close once a month)
The Senior Citizen’s Centre is at 20 Norton Street, Mel map: 17 A9. (Continue down the Prospect St hill, pass the pool entrance, take first left into Camden St, then right at the "T". The hall is tucked back opposite the park, a little way down at the sharp corner.
This hall has a newly surfaced wooden floor - please wipe your feet (or bring a change of shoes) and make sure the soles are clean when you arrive so that we do not damage it.

This venue is a lovely room with air-conditioning and heating, not far from the Pascoe Vale Swimming Pool. It has a newly surfaced wooden floor (please make sure the soles of your shoes are clean) and plenty of parking.
Tea and coffee is available as usual. -
If you haven't been to the Glamour Puss studio in St Kilda, you will find Martin Street links the "dogs leg" of Duke Street (which runs of Chapel), with Brighton Road, not far from Carlisle Street.
